Since 22 June, UK Visas and Immigration has begin phased resumption of services and biometric appointments resume availability.
If you applied for a 30-day visa to work, study or join family in the UK from 24 January 2020 and it has expired, or will expire before your travel date, you can return your passport to the Visa Application Centre to ask for a replacement 90-day visa.
Your request for a replacement visa will be prioritised by UK Visas and Immigration, who will re-issue your visa with new dates or intended travel dates.
This process is only for applicant who were issued a 30-day entry clearance label to enter the UK to work, study or join family in the UK since 24 January 2020. It does not apply to other types of visas. The process will remain in place until 31/12/2020 and is free of charge.
