YOUTH MOBILITY SCHEME

The Youth Mobility Scheme allows young people from participating countries to live and work in the UK for up to two years. This visa is designed to offer young adults the opportunity to experience life in the UK while gaining valuable work experience.

Eligibility for the Youth Mobility Scheme

To qualify for the Youth Mobility Scheme, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Nationality: You must be a national of one of the participating countries:

    • Australia

    • Canada

    • Japan

    • Monaco

    • New Zealand

    • Hong Kong

    • Republic of Korea

    • Taiwan

    Note: If you are from Hong Kong or the Republic of Korea, you will need to secure a sponsor.

  2. Age: You must be between 18 and 30 years old on the date your visa becomes valid.

  3. Family and Previous Visas:

    • You cannot apply if you have children living with you or for whom you are financially responsible.

    • Individuals who have previously participated in the scheme or held a visa under the former Working Holiday Visa category are ineligible to apply.

  4. Financial Requirements: You must have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay, as specified by the scheme’s maintenance requirements.

  5. Immigration Health Surcharge: Applicants are required to pay the UK Immigration Health Surcharge as part of their visa application.
